Emily Anderson
Founder | Physiotherapist

I’m Emily Anderson, physiotherapist and founder of Windrose Therapy, located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia.
My passion is providing holistic, tailored support that helps people feel empowered and creates more lasting outcomes.

With experience across paediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, disability support, and hospital settings, I bring a broad and practical approach to therapy. I have worked within the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, Flinders rehabilitation wards, community rehabilitation, and paediatric physiotherapy services.

I have also taught physiotherapy students at the University of South Australia, now Adelaide University, across paediatric and neurological rehabilitation lectures, tutorials, and clinical placements. With honours-level training in both psychology and physiotherapy, published peer-reviewed research, and experience collaborating within the pain science field, I aim to provide care that is both evidence-informed and person-centred.

My background in psychology, physiotherapy, and current training in Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology and Children’s Kinesiology allows me to support the whole person, not just the physical presentation. By combining physiotherapy strategies with mind-body and kinesiology approaches, I work with children, adults, and families in a way that is holistic, responsive, and individualised.

Kinesiology strategies may also support young children and people with complex communication needs, helping create another way for their body and nervous system to be heard.

As I return to work as a new mother, I will be taking on a balanced caseload to ensure I can provide thoughtful, high-quality care.

While I complete the final stages of my certification as a kinesiologist, I will also be offering sessions for those interested in kinesiology alone, or a blended approach combining physiotherapy and kinesiology strategies.
