Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy supports people to improve movement, function, strength, comfort, and participation in everyday life.

It uses physical assessment, education, hands-on support where appropriate, and tailored therapy strategies to help people manage challenges, reduce pain, build skills, and work toward meaningful movement and functional goals.

Personalised Care

Each child receives a personalised therapy plan tailored to their specific needs and goals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Family Centred

With a strong emphasis on family involvement, my therapy sessions create a supportive and collaborative environment for children to thrive.

Holistic Approach

As a holistic therapist, I combine evidence-based practices with compassion and empathy to provide the highest quality care.

Kinesiology

At Windrose Therapy, kinesiology is offered as a holistic and respectful approach alongside a strong foundation in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation. The focus is on supporting the whole person, not just the physical presentation, helping individuals and families feel more balanced, connected, and empowered.

Emotions can influence the way we move, respond, connect, and participate in everyday life. Stress, overwhelm, fear, uncertainty, and past experiences may show up not only in thoughts and feelings, but also in the body through tension, fatigue, protective movement patterns, or changes in confidence and regulation.

Kinesiology is a gentle, body-led approach that helps identify where stress may be held and what the body may need to move back toward balance. It works with the body’s own responses to support physical, emotional, mental, and energetic wellbeing. Each session is guided by the individual, making the process personal, responsive, and tailored rather than prescriptive.

Kinesiology uses muscle reflex testing to explore conscious and unconscious stress patterns within the body. This can offer an additional way for people with complex communication needs, including those who do not use verbal speech, to actively participate in a session without relying solely on spoken communication.

What is muscle reflex testing?

Muscle Reflex Testing is a gentle technique that uses light pressure on the arm to observe muscle responses. It helps identify where the body may be holding stress and guides the session by allowing the nervous system to indicate what support may be needed.

For those with spasticity, pain, physical injury, or other factors that make direct muscle testing difficult, self-testing or alternative approaches can be used to ensure the session remains comfortable, accessible, and responsive to the individual.
