About

emily.jpg

I am Emily Anderson, physiotherapist and founder of Windrose Therapy. I am dedicated to providing specialised physiotherapy services for babies, kids and teens to enhance and develop their gross motor skills. My passion is to help and support the entire family, meaning the most lasting outcomes can be achieved.

My experience extends to working in the adult rehabilitation field, particularly with those who have experienced a stroke, a traumatic brain injury, functional neurological disorder (FND), or many other neurological conditions. If you are a parent/adult who has been diagnosed with a neurological condition or injury, this is also a safe space to explore your health.

I am also training to become a certified emotions and metaphysical kinesiologist, so I can provide a holistic approach using a combination of western physiotherapy and eastern kinesiology to work with and help children with autism and/or other neuro-developmental conditions.

As well as having track-record, hands-on experience, and running and practising out of my clinic, I also teach at UniSA on their paediatrics course and their adult rehabilitation course as part of their Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and hold a Psychology undergraduate degree (with Honours).

To learn more about what I can do to help you, visit my services page, or feel free to contact me for an informal chat.

I am an unregistered NDIS provider, meaning that participants with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans are also able to access this service.

Communication Skills

I offer specialised programs for non-speaking children and adults, aimed to improve communication and interaction skills through tailored and targeted therapy approaches.

Developmental Delay

Children with developmental delay benefit from my individualised therapy plans which are designed to address their specific challenges and promote progress towards significant outcomes.

Sensory Integration

Ensuring you and/or your child feel calm and safe is my top priority. With a special interest in sensory integration strategies, I adapt my therapy sessions to suit sensory needs.

The way Emily explained things and related it to different scenarios was really helpful. I felt I got a lot of my knowledge and understanding from her.

Emily was so beautiful and caring in her nature as an educator and therapist. I felt cared for and respected from the first day.

Emily was very open to new ideas and I felt safe to ask questions, no question felt like a stupid one.
